Overview

Downer Infrastructure faced operational challenges when relying on excel spreadsheets, lengthy emails and internal systems to manage their processes.
These traditional methods often resulted in delays, missing files, and overall inefficiencies. To improve their operations, Downer introduced DBot, an intelligent platform specifically tailored to their infrastructure department.

To ensure a successful redesign of DBot, we adopted an agile approach, embracing an iterative and incremental process. This allowed us to adapt and refine the design in response to evolving requirements and insights gained from stakeholders and users.
My role was pivotal in translating business requirements and user feedback into tangible design solutions. We conducted regular workshops to foster collaboration and gather insights from stakeholders, engineers, and developers. These workshops provided a structured platform for open discussions and knowledge sharing. Allowing to capture their perspectives and incorporate them into the system design.
Outcome
The introduction of a new DBot significantly enhanced the work experience for Downer Infrastructure employees by eliminating manual tasks, streamlining processes, and facilitating seamless communication with subcontractors, thereby making their job significantly easier.
Design System
DBot Global Styles Master is a comprehensive design system created to establish a cohesive and consistent visual language for Downer's infrastructure operations. With Green chosen as the primary color, it represents growth and sustainability.
This design system encompasses typography, iconography, spacing, and more, ensuring a visually unified experience. Incorporating Material Design system for its iconography, ensuring a visually cohesive and familiar experience. DBot Global Styles promotes efficiency, scalability, and a delightful user experience, aligning design decisions with Downer's vision.
